Travel Tales: Just a Thought

I wanted to let everyone know that I arrived safely back from California. The trip was beautiful and the weather was perfect! Since things are very hectic here and I really have not had a chance to rest, I will hopefully write down some random thoughts about the trip next week.

When I returned home, I was putting away some items and noticed a calligraphy selection that I have had for years. My friends and I who enjoy sailing really loved this quotation, so I thought I would share it with you. Perhaps you will find this saying applies to those people you encounter on your journeys whether you travel by boat or car or whatever.

There are those who pass like ships in the night.
Who meet for a moment, then sail out of sight
With never a backward glance of regret;
Folks we know briefly then quickly forget.
Then there are friends who sail together
Through quiet waters and stormy weather
Helping each other through joy and through strife.
And they are the kind who give meaning to life.
